Would you like to know all the tea at the practice? Leave your details and we’ll let you know. Only if it’s worth knowing about, ofc! We promise no spam.
We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
Passionate about Youth Mental Health, Hazel has over ten years of study in this area from universities in Sydney, Melbourne and the UK, alongside a lifetime committed to learning and evolving her skills, knowledge and self. As the founder of Change Rooms, she brings a warm and humorous approach to her role as Principal Psychologist. She values curiosity, collaboration and connection and this is evident in her work with clients, organisations, colleagues and community members.
Hazel's therapeutic approach prioritises personal strengths and self-awareness, fostering confidence and resilience. Trained in a wealth of evidence based treatments, including DBT, MFBT (for eating disorders), SFBT, NT, EMDR and CBT, Hazel works with clients to find the right approach in a solution focused way. An eternal optimist, hopeless romantic, lover of sunshine, with a side of Piscean kaleidoscopic creativity, she brings authenticity and compassion to her sessions. And, being Scottish, is not afraid to say it as she sees it!
All you need for your journey along the yellow brick road of life is courage, brains, love, good friends, a trusty dog and a safe place inside yourself to call home. Sparkly shoes, of course, add extra fabulousness!
